ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM
I.D.E.A's Electrical Division has its strength in
computer aided engineering, analysis and design, with accent on
problem solving. It consists of a dedicated team of highly qualified
professionals involved in System Studies and building in-house
software using next generation algorithms. I.D.E.A has developed
software and system study modules which are widely now in use
for following:
1. Steady state network analysis:
- Power Flow Analysis (balanced and unbalanced)
- Short Circuit Calculations
- Static Voltage Stability Analysis
- Long term energy demand forecast
- Reliability evaluation
- Relay coordination
- Harmonic Analysis and Filter Design etc.
2. Stability analysis
- Transient / Dynamic Stability Analysis
- Transient Motor Starting Studies
- Under Frequency - Under Voltage Load Shedding
and Protection Studies
3. System Protection
4. Electro-Magnetic Transients Simulation
5. Graphics Applications
for single line diagram creation, Plotting programs for Real Time
modules
6. Energy Management System Applications
- Network Topology Processor
- State Estimation with bad data detection
- Contingency Ranking and evaluation
- Real time security monitoring and control
through optimal power flow.
- Automatic Generation Control, area frequency
control
- Short Term Load Forecast etc.
