VP Buildings, Memphis, Tennessee, USA

I.D.E.A is working with VP Buildings, Memphis, Tennessee, USA, for the design and detailing of pre-engineered steel Buildings from March 98.  It started off with the training of a core team of six members from Civil & Structural discipline at VP headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, in May1998 for about six months. The core team was given training on various VP Building products - engineers on design aspects as per various US codes and detailers on assembly procedures and fabrication details.

The project team has been expanded in the subsequent years. As of July 2005 I.D.E.A had completed about 48000 tons of steel in about 800 buildings.

VP Building's system of construction has been used in a wide range of buildings - manufacturing, retail, office, warehouse, schools, churches, airport hangars or any other form of low-rise, non-residential construction. Their engineering provides complete design flexibility that allows the customer to design a building to fit his needs. All VP buildings are designed using their VP Command computer program, which generates all drawings and renditions for the building. This proprietary program assists in designing a building and customize it to client's needs using the most economical combination of VP products. This assures uniformity and quality of VP buildings around the globe.

The concept of pre-engineered buildings gives the customer the unique advantage of a much reduced gestation time to construct his building. Consequently, the time schedule for completion of engineering is very tight. At the same time, strict adherence to quality is required, as there is no turn around time for review and clarifications on drawings.

VP Buildings are quite satisfied with the performance and quality of the work done by the I.D.E.A team so far. Their confidence in I.D.E.A is reflected by the fact that they have transferred design jobs of their major clients to I.D.E.A. Based on the success with VP projects, Astron Buildings SA, Luxembourg have also signed a contract with I.D.E.A for design and detailing of their products in March 2004.

ASTRON BUILDING 

I.D.E.A is working with Astron Buildings, Diekirch, Luxembourg for design and detailing of their various pre-engineered steel buildings from March 2004

This team has been trained on the various European codes including Euro 3 and DIN Standards. The buildings are located mainly in the European countries like France, Russia, Spain, Hungary, Poland, etc.  As of July 2005, this team has completed about 50 buildings.
