I.D.E.A's Steel Experience
We have a team of experienced structural engineers
and detailers in the fields of Steel buildings, Pre engineered
buildings and other industrial structures. Our Engineers are familiar
with the various US codes like UBC, BOCA, SBC, IBC-2000 ASCE-7,
MBMA, OSHA requirements etc. as well as British, Indian, Euro
Code, and DIN Standards. Similarly the detailers are familiar
with detailing standards of USA, DIN, British, European and Indian.
Most of them have worked on International projects.
I.D.E.A has been doing the design and detailing
of steel structures for the various petrochemical and power plants
as per the Indian as well as various International codes like
British, US, German and Euro Code. We have done structures supporting
the various equipment, process plant buildings, boiler structures,
power plant buildings, steel stacks etc. The tons per job could
vary between 400 to more than 3000 tons.
Software Used:
We are experienced in STAAD PRO 2004, AutoCAD, Micro
Station, XSteel and other in-house developed packages for design
and detailing of structures. We also use Plant Design system (PDS)
software to do 3-D modeling for multi-disciplinary detailing.
We have a long and successful record of transmitting
drawings by e-mail as well as FTP transfers internationally, so
our geographic location is no disadvantage. I.D.E.A transfers
the project documents through e-mail and FTP procedures in the
web. We have a dedicated BSNL Broadband connection as well as
a couple of ISDN lines for Internet connections.
A few clients have found it so successful a business
model that they have made us their extended engineering arm and
use our engineers as a permanent dedicated task force working
only on their projects. Many clients have also capitalized on
the time difference to work on a project seamlessly through time.
