As a part of engineering services, I.D.E.A also undertake the services of inspection in field of Refinery, Petrochemical, Process and Power Plant. I.D.E.A inspection department is having a strong support of engineering departments with vast experience of inspection engineers. The inspection engineers are well qualified and experienced in various fields. I.D.E.A inspection department serves in the following fields :

1. TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT OF VENDORS

Vendor survey, assessment, evaluation of fabrication shop, foundry, forge shop, machine shop for any particular product.

2. RAW  MATERIALS

Inspection of steel plates, pipes, tubes, forgings and flanges stage-wise, final and testing as per individual specifications.

3. PIPING BULKS

Inspection stage-wise, final for bulk items such as pipes, pipe fittings, piping hangers, piping supports etc.

 

4. STATIC EQUIPMENT

Stage-wise, final inspection and testing of fabricated equipment such as pressure vessels, heat-exchangers, columns, storage tanks, storage spheres, reactors, agitators, boilers, super heaters, piping etc.

5. ROTATING EQUIPMENT

Stage-wise, final inspection and testing of centrifugal pumps & compressors, reciprocating pumps & compressors and screw compressors.

 

6. ELECTRICAL MACHINERY

Stage-wise, final inspection and testing of electrical motors, starters, panels, transformers, generators, diesel generating sets etc.

 7. INSTRUMENTATION  ITEMS

Stage-wise, final Inspection and calibrations for all types of valves, flow indicators, flow measurement items, flow control items, temperature indicator & control items, switches, level indicators, pressure gauges etc.

 

8. VENDOR DESIGN & DRAWING REVIEW

Reviewing of vendor design and drawing as per code/project specification and approval.

9. PROJECT QA / QC

Inspection of Project piping, equipment right from welder qualification up-to boxing up of project which includes NDT.

 

10. TANK FARM

Stage wise final inspection and testing of storage tanks  and spheres at project site.

11. Equipment erection

Checking of alignment of static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, exchangers, rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors fans etc. at project site.

 

12. PACKAGES

Inspection and testing of packages such as chiller, PSA Nitrogen, Dryers, Water treatment plants, Effluent treatment plants etc.

13. TAILOR MADE JOBS

Stage-wise final Inspection and testing of tailor made jobs such as Skids, Mitre bends, expansion bellows, castings, gears, gear boxes, etc. and finish machined products to client’s drawings & specifications.

 

14.  WELDING CONSUMABLES

Inspection and testing of welding electrodes, wires, fluxes.

15. ANNUAL TURN AROUND (SHUT-DOWN)

In-situ inspection of static and rotating equipment, life assessment, repairs and testing.

 

16. EXPEDITING SERVICES

Undertakes material expediting at vendor’s work.

17. CASE STUDIES
